Deep Presence: Partner Connection Workshop

This 90minute partner experience is an opportunity for partners or friends to be fully present with each other. No distractions, nothing asked of them, simply exploring each other. Pairs will will be led through a variety of connection activities, culminating in taking it in turns to give and receive a short floor-based massage. Expect: — Partner Yoga — Connection Activities — Eye Gazing & Sharing — Zenthai Shiatsu Massage Participants will be guided through every step of the way, no experience required. This workshop is designed for pairs, so bring a partner or friend to share the experience with. During this workshop, couples or friends will have a chance to break from the business of the festival to slow down and connect with each other. It begins light and playful, with guided partner yoga, where we get comfortable with touch. We then explore connection with ourselves through self massage on our hands and arms, noting the type of touch that we like. The final and most restful part of the session is taking it in turns to give and receive a fully guided Zenthai Shiatsu massage (floor based bodywork). It is designed to be accessible, so we won’t be doing any acro-yoga or difficult Zenthai gestures. It is more about slowing down and connecting with each other to have a deeper experience within the festival. Participants will need to bring something to lie on, e.g. yoga mat, towel, blanket. My intention for this workshop is to create a space for participants to take a breath. I love festivals, however it’s easy to end up burnt out by the end. This workshop is a break in the middle to become mindful and aware of the people we are sharing this experience with, connect a little deeper, and become more present. I facilitate an extended (2.5hr) version of this workshop at various yoga studios, and every time pairs walk away feeling a much deeper level of awareness of each other.
