Macmillan is a Melbourne born DJ and producer whose sound is modelled on deep, hypnotic basslines, intricate percussion, and immersive minimal groove.  

Quickly establishing an organic reputation for refined underground taste, Macmillan moves fluently between vinyl and digital mediums weaving mature sets that showcase a true depth of sound guaranteed to move the floor.  

Highlight gigs include a headline showcase for Collekt House Group in Auckland, NZ as well as support acts for international artists such as Locklead, Cromby, Reflex Blue, Rossko and Dennis Quinn various iconic Melbourne institutions - Revolver Upstairs, Section 8, Onesixone, Music Room, and The Breakfast Club to name a few).  

Beyond the booth, Macmillan’s own ‘Avant’ showcases established and emerging talent who hold the same passion for music that has defined his own rise in Melbourne’s underground scene. Avant’s unqiue visual concept named Avant ‘Observe’ boasts visuals of the DJ/mixer project live in the venue to make the DJ’s movements a more visible feature of the party. The visual is projected onto a semitransparent screen which gives a holographic effect and can be viewed from all angles of the venue.  

A keen digger and emerging producer, Macmillan’s ever-growing catalogue is presented proudly and personally in the booth as an expression of gratitude to the people and places that have defined his journey so far.
