Ecuador-born & Sydney based Sofia Gonzalez has roots in the heydays of neurofunk and future-thinking drum and bass. After a hiatus from dance music, playing in bands and busking throughout South America & Spain, she discovered the endless possibilities of

an open-palette, multi-genre mixing style and its ability to create a story fit for the mood. From dynamic techno journeys that take you through nebulous soundscapes and tribalistic chimera, to the brooding basslines and rhythm diversity offered in her bass-

centric sets, Sofia's performances are emotionally-charged, heady and energetic.

Sofia has played for iconic Australian collectives such as the infamous DSS Channel parties, DUNJ Crew, Construct, HoneyTrap, Afterlife, RAW, Shed, Church of Techno and staple Australian & NZ festivals including Dragon Dreaming, Twisted Frequency, Art Valley, Antigravity and Armada. Supporting techno, bass and Psy artists such as DJ Flight, Breakage, Truth, Smilk, Farebi Jalebi, Phara, Pugilist, & DotDat amongst many more.
