Dylan Griffin

Subsonic Music's longest-running resident DJ for over 10 years it would be an understatement to say Dylan Griffin is no stranger to the stages of our beloved festival and likely needs no introduction.

But here is an introduction anyway; Australian house music mainstay Dylan Griffin has started to make waves beyond the shores of his island home. As a producer he has records coming out on USA’s highly respected Little Helpers as well as exclusive vinyl & digital releases with Rich NXTs label What NXT, Subsonic Music and dance music behemoth Poker Flat for their sister label Sublease Music among others.

After 10 years of being a touring DJ in Australia and Asia Pacific, Dylan has shifted gears and now divides his time between the studio and DJ booth. In late 2018 his debut vinyl EP with long time collaborator Chad B, that included an Alexkid remix, sold out in many of the major vinyl stores world wide after esteemed charting & press. That was the foundation that launched him into the trajectory he now finds himself in. With their last few releases having favourable press across publications Trommel, Meoko, 6AM, Magnetic Magazine & Constant Circles helping his music reach a more global audience.

The production output is ongoing and Dylan’s original works have been directly supported by the like of Steve Bug, Archie Hamilton, Robag Wruhme (at Watergate), Joris Voorn (on his radio show), Doubting thomas, Alexkid, Mihai Popiviciu & John Digweed (multiple times on his radio show) and all this is to name just a few. And recently his personal selections curated for Poker Flat have been publicly posted about and supported by Richie Hawtin.

Regularly billed on meticulous lineups across the country and further afield have solidified Dylan Griffin’s career, versatile DJ sets spread across club floors and festival grounds from Rainbow Serpent, Subsonic, Let Them Eat Cake, Earth Frequency, Elements and Piknic Electronik to headlining club shows including SASH in Sydney, Queensland’s Elsewhere and hometown favourites My Aeon, New Guernica, Pawn & Co, Breakfast Club and the iconic institution Revolver in Melbourne. Offshore, he has headlined shows in Thailand, India, Mexico, Singapore and Denmark.

Locally and true to his foundations, Dylan pioneered Australia’s premier electronic podcast series ‘AU Underground’, showcasing some of the country’s inaugural emerging talent to the most well- accomplished of the underground realm, which was the first of its kind 9 years ago.
AU Underground has now morphed into a well known club brand within Australia doing showcases at the countries most famed clubs, SASH in Sydney and Revolver in Melbourne.

Not one to follow trends Dylan has been fostering an infinite combination of the driving & groove based elements of the house and techno worlds for over 10 years now. With not many Australian dance music institutions that Dylan hasn’t graced he has cemented an enduring reputation across dance floors then, now and into the future.
