DJ Goanna AKA Sam Mullany is a man proudly hailing from Wiradjuri land, the goanna is widely acknowledged as a totem of this land. DJ GOANNA was born in the belief of an artistic expression as a platform to promote culture and connection.

As a selector his creative identity is shaped by concepts of eco-spirituality, indigenous soundscapes and west-African rhythms. His experiences of rural isolation across the many varied biospheres of Australia mould a cultural expression of the land, its communities and its story.

DJ GOANNA is AKA SHED: production and creative director, working to tirelessly some of Eora/Naarm's most varied and inspiring dance nights. You may have also heard DJ GOANNA contributing to local community radio stations such as Koori FM and Nomad Radio which he has hosted regular programming on in the past.
