Chris Munky & P.Smurf

“Bass-heavy bars built for the big rigs.”

Chris Munky & P.Smurf fuse the heavyweight pulse of UK sound system culture with the raw lyricism of Australian hip-hop.

Chris Munky, hailing from Bristol, UK, is the founder of Banana Bombs Records and a veteran producer and touring DJ who’s performed alongside Chali 2na, Eva Lazarus, Gardna, and INJA. Known for his bass-driven, genre-blending sets, Munky moves effortlessly from dubwise rollers to junglist anthems — guaranteed to lift any dancefloor.

P.Smurf is a Sydney-based MC and the founder of Scratches Records, recognised for his work with Daily Meds, Reverse Polarities, and Sketch the Rhyme. With over a decade in the game, Smurf has become a cornerstone of Australian hip-hop — co-managing Big Village Records and Freshly Squeezed Touring, while remaining true to the independent spirit that built the scene.

Together, they deliver a high-energy mix of bass, beats, and bars, lighting up main stages at Esoteric Festival, Earth Frequency Festival, and Wide Open Spaces. Following their debut single “The Jump Off / Big Bass”, the duo continue to push a fresh cross-continental sound rooted in community, culture, and serious low-end weight.
