The grass is greener at Subsonic…

If you’ve been to our much-loved festival site, you’ll know what awaits you and your mates as you drive into the beautiful Monkerai Valley in Worimi Country. But if you haven’t, here’s a little taste of what to expect. Dancing on green grass amongst the rolling hills of the World Heritage listed Barrington Tops, having a dip in the river that carves its way through and around the festival site will have you questioning everything you may have experienced or head of the atypical Australian camping festival, all of this just to say this locale for our big dance is really something.

We are eternally grateful to the Worimi people who continue to welcome us to country over these many years we have had our festival on their land. We do, will and always acknowledge the Worimi as the traditional owners of this land.

Riverwood Downs is just 3.5 hours north of Sydney, 1 hour from Newcastle and 4 hours south of Coffs Harbour. Spread across 750 acres the multi-award winning property is circled by 5km of mountain river frontage all sitting within the greater Barrington Tops that covers more than 95,000 hectares of unspoilt wilderness. And we are eternally grateful to the staff and people of Riverwood Downs for hosting us all.

For those of you used the post-doof shower, you may be surprised by the surprising lack of that indescribable black coming out of your nose, or the general lack of dust that finds its way… everywhere. At Subsonic, escaping the city does not mean "doing it tough" with readily available showers, a place to swim and relax and a varied range of Accommodation and Camping options.
