Yougzee is quickly cementing his name as one of Newcastle’s dancefloor selectors. Known for his infectious energy behind the decks and wide-grinning stage presence, he's become a familiar face at with many events in the local underground scene. With a decade-long love affair with DJing that started on CDJ-800s, Yougzee’s sets are a journey through deep, groovy, and driving sounds—effortlessly blending tech, minimal, house, and melodic flavours.

Deeply influenced by early trance and happy hardcore in his youth, his musical taste matured into a love for funky rhythms, classic house grooves, and modern tech house aesthetics. Artists like Mark Knight, Green Velvet, Carl Cox, Julia Niko, and Yotto have helped shape his ever-evolving sound.

He’s contributing in shaping Newcastle’s club culture, performing at standout events like Shenanigans, Salt n Sound, Rhythm at Dusk, and Cooked Memories. He’s also a core part of the Sol Sounds collective, curating lineups and helping build a space that champions authentic underground vibes.

Now stepping into the production side of his journey, Yougzee is cooking up fresh edits and original tracks designed to move bodies and minds alike. With studio work now in motion and an already-solid local presence, he’s set to take the next leap forward in his musical evolution.
