London-grown, Bristol-based, ec2a label founder and curator, Dr Dubplate, has become a club-essential since his early days in the cloakroom at Plastic People.

With a rich musical upbringing, it’s no coincidence that Dr Dubplate’s sets reflect his character; a positive, multi-genre taste with obligatory gun fingers, treating his crowds to everything from Gil Scott Heron to Kwengface, Dubstep to UK Funky, Trap to Trance… It’s no doubt that his Keep Hush sets have become a viral sensation.

Throwing hard graft and DIY community spirit into everything he does, Dr Dubplate has not only established his own unique sound as a selector, but built a strong underground following via his UKG inspired imprint, ec2a.

Hosting ec2a label takeovers across the UK in 2022, including at legendary establishments Fabric and Beams - plus a DJ Mag Label of the Year nomination - ec2a is certainly one to watch.

2023 is set to be Dr Dubplate’s most anticipated year to date. Expect exciting collaborations, edits and more as he drops his own productions and prepares to take the world by storm, one party at a time.
