Subsonic Music Festival is held at the renowned camping and holiday venue, Riverwood Downs in the Barrington Tops. Punters have a range of accommodation options, from camping to glamping to air-conditioned bunkhouse cabins. Check out your options below.
Camping
Camping is included with the ticket price.
Purchase a Deluxe Campsite to secure your very own spot by the river or arrive early to bag a spot nice and close to the stages & markets. Gates open at 11 am Thursday. Traffic controllers will tell you where you can and cannot camp. Please respect the rules, traffic controllers are there for everyone’s safety. There are plenty of toilets and showers available at a small cost (for showers and permanent toilets), plus lots of water taps all around the site to fill up your water containers. Shower blocks will be operating at specified times so please take notice of signage explaining opening hours (they work on a septic system so periods of closure are a requirement sorry).
Bar and markets are there for your convenience. PLEASE NOTE: The Festival grounds are licensed which means BYO is for camping areas ONLY. You are not permitted to bring drinks into the festival from the camping grounds and we enforce a strict NO GLASS policy. If you run out of repellent or sunscreen you can always buy more provisions and food at the on-site kiosk. Garbage bags will be provided on entry and additional bags available at the info tent.
We feel very privileged to be able to host an event at Riverwood Downs. Please respect nature and the property owners by ensuring your campsite is kept clean and tidy throughout the event and please leave the area as it was found. Leave no trace! Don’t poison the waterways or local plant/wildlife by washing with non biodegradable soap products at your campsite or by washing in the river. It can get windy, so please ensure all rubbish is disposed of and help us to protect the pristine waterways.
No fires or dogs are allowed.

Air Conditioned Bunkhouse Cabins
Subsonic is opening up the Riverwood Downs Bunkhouse to be booked by festival-goers.
These air conditioned cabins are perfect for the all-night party-people who want to catch some extra zzzzz’s during the day.

Accommodation in an air-conditioned bunkhouse cabin is available from Thursday through to Monday. (Monday is the latest checkout date, and and early entry pass is required of you are checking in on Thursday)
- Room for 4 guests (triple bunk + single bed)
